Miami, FL -  - RAQUENEL (widely recognized as "Mary Boquitas") returns to the music scene with the launch of her new single "Un Nueva Mujer", a song that focuses on her feelings as she transcends into a new stage of her life.

 

"Una Nueva Mujer" was bourne from RAQUENEL's longing to record a song that allows listeners an intimate view, in one way or another, of how she celebrates the strength of the woman she is today.

 

Under the guidance of producer Alex Cirilo (who has worked on multiple recording projects with artists including Chayanne, Paulina Rubio, Jen Carlos Canela, Luis Fonsi, among others) with lyrics by Javier Olivencia (who has worked with Ricky Martin, Don Omar, Gilberto Santarosa, Luis Enrique, among others), "Una Nueva Mujer" allows RAQUENEL to give life to her personal evolution with a unique sound style, mixing multiple musical genres.

 

"When I described to Alex what I wanted with this song, I realized that in fact I had a story, one of having the power to re-new... this led us to meeting with the talented Javier who crafted these perfect lyrics.  We all embarked on a new experience resulting in this gem. " stated the singer.

 

RAQUENEL, has never actually left the entertainment scene.  Currently, she is the Musical Director of the play "Vaselina El Musical USA" in which she stars as the lead role of "Rizzo". Additionally, she has participated in soap operas including "Santa Diabla" (which was nominated for a "Premios Tu Mundo" Award) and "Eva La Trailera".  Last year she had a leading role in the reality show "My Life is a SOAP Opera" for WETV network.
